Sport Management/Sport Business Curriculum Development

Is accreditation by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) a goal for your program?  The academic arena is one of Dr. Foster’s specialty areas.  Having already gone through COSMA accreditation twice and serving COSMA as a site visitor, let Dr. Foster review every aspect of your undergraduate or graduate program as an outside reviewer before documentation is submitted.

Having worked in higher education for over thirty years, your educational institution can benefit in its development, improvement, or redesign of your sport management/business curriculum and the all-important experiential learning program. Dr. Foster’s eleven years of service to SMPRC established her as a recognized expert in sport management curriculum as evidenced by her election as Chair by her peers in 2001 – a position she held for five years. In 2013, Dr. Foster was elected by her peers to serve a 3-year term on the Board of Commissioners after having served as a site visit leader.

Dr. Foster has been developing Sport Management/Business Curricula since 1988 and was successful in spearheading the program approval process for two institutions before being hired as Chair of the Department of Sport Management at Saint Leo University in 2003 where she also designed the Graduate Business Studies-MBA Sport Business concentration.
